TALES OF SUSPENSE #64 CGC 9.0 1965 1ST BLACK WIDOW COSTUME IRON MAN HAWKEYE
Item description from the seller
This classic Silver Age Marvel issue is particularly notable for a major moment in Black Widow’s early history, as Natasha Romanoff dons her first superhero costume. Black Widow joins Hawkeye against Iron Man, giving the issue an outstanding lineup of characters during the formative years of the Marvel Universe.
The issue also features a separate Captain America story, making this one of those great early Tales of Suspense books that packs several major Marvel characters into a single issue.
The creative lineup is equally impressive. Stan Lee provides the story, Jack Kirby supplies the cover, and the interior artwork features Kirby along with Don Heck, Chic Stone and Frank Giacoia. The result is a quintessential mid-1960s Marvel comic from the height of the Silver Age.
At CGC 9.0, this is a particularly impressive example of a book now more than 60 years old. The predominantly light-colored cover is unforgiving of wear, making a VF/NM copy an attractive choice for a high-grade Silver Age Marvel collection.
With Iron Man, Captain America, Hawkeye and Black Widow, an important early Black Widow milestone, a Jack Kirby cover and a strong CGC grade, this is an excellent Silver Age Marvel key for an advanced collection.
CGC Certification #4443853011.
The CGC holder presents very well. Please review the provided high-resolution front and back images for the exact condition and presentation of the comic and holder.
