MARVEL SPOTLIGHT #2 CGC 9.0 WHITE PAGES 1ST WEREWOLF BY NIGHT JACK RUSSELL
Item description from the seller
Published in February 1972, this issue features both the origin and first appearance of Werewolf by Night. Rather than simply being an early appearance, this is where Jack Russell’s story begins, preceding his ongoing Werewolf by Night series and establishing a character who would later become closely associated with Marvel’s growing supernatural corner alongside characters such as Moon Knight, Dracula, Ghost Rider and others.
The book also brings together an outstanding Bronze Age creative team. Gerry Conway, Roy Thomas and Jeanie Thomas are credited with the story, Mike Ploog provides the interior artwork, and legendary artist Neal Adams supplies the memorable cover.
This copy has been professionally graded CGC 9.0 VF/NM with WHITE PAGES. That page designation is especially desirable on a comic more than 50 years old and makes this an attractive high-grade example for a serious Marvel key collection.
The bold red cover presents extremely well, with the classic transformation sequence immediately identifying the issue even from across a display. For collectors assembling high-grade Bronze Age Marvel first appearances, this is one of the books that belongs alongside the major supernatural keys of the period.
CGC Certification #4593403009.
The CGC holder presents very well. Please review the high-resolution front and back photographs for the exact appearance and condition of the comic and holder.
